Jan 4, 2024

MATTAPOISETT — Mattapoisett Congregational Church has named Reverend Michael Frady as the church’s next pastor. Frady was elected unanimously by voting members of the congregation on Dec. 31, according to a press release.

Ordained as a minister in the United Church of Christ in 2021 and a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School, Frady will join the church in April.

“He was particularly drawn to Mattapoisett Congregational Church because he senses the congregation to be a caring community of authentic, active disciples of Christ,” the press release said.

Frady previously served as Associate Minster of the United Congregational Church of Little Compton, Rhode Island, Pastor of North Congregational Church in Fall River and Senior Minister of First Congregational Church in Braintree.

Dr. Richard Wolf will continue to serve as Interim Minister until Frady’s first appearance on the pulpit on April 28.
