UNSUPERVISED ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE MASSACHUSETTS UNIFORM PROBATE CODE (MUPC)
A Personal Representative appointed under the MUPC in an unsupervised administration is not required to file an inventory or annual accounts with the Court. Persons interested in the estate are entitled to notice regarding the administration directly from the Personal Representative and may petition the Court in any matter relating to the estate, including the distribution of assets and expenses of administration.

Request for Services (RFS) for Designer

The Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, (“Owner”) is seeking the services of a qualified “Designer” as defined in Massachusetts General laws Chapter 7C, Section 44 and as further defined by the provisions of this RFS, to provide Designer Services for the design, construction, addition to and/or renovation of the Old Colony RVTHS School (“School”) in Rochester, Massachusetts (“Project”).

The Owner is requesting the services of a Designer to partner with the Owner during the feasibility study and schematic design phases of the project initially. Subject to the approval of the project by the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”) and further subject to continued funding authorized by the Owner, the contract between the Owner and the Designer may be amended to include Designer Services through design development, construction documents, bid and award, construction, and final closeout of the potential project.

A potential approved project may include a renovation of the existing School, a renovation and addition of the existing school and/or new construction. The estimated construction cost of an approved potential project may range from $80,000,000 to $170,000,000 depending upon the solution that is agreed upon by the Owner and the MSBA and that is ultimately approved by a vote of the MSBA.

There is an optional site visit and informational meeting on March 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM, 476 North Avenue, Rochester MA 02770.

Sealed responses must be clearly labeled “Designer Services for Old Colony” and delivered to: Sarah Griffith, Old Colony RVTHS, 476 North Avenue, Rochester MA 02770. Responses are due by 3:00 P.M. on March 27, 2024. If at the time of the scheduled due date/time, the District is closed due to inclement weather or another unforeseeable event, the due date will be extended until 3:00 P.M. on the next normal business day.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the RFS, to reject any or all or to accept any RFS which it deems to be in the best interest of the District.
