MARION — Live jazz will return to the Marion Art Center in 2024 with “Unplugged in the Marion Art Center Gallery” on Friday, March 1 with musicians Matt Richard and Daniel Ian Smith.

There will be two separate performances during the night, and each set will last about 45 minutes.

Find a spot at a cabaret table to listen to a mix of jazz standards and original compositions by both artists. The performance will feature mainly acoustic sound, without the volume and density often experienced during larger concerts in the Marino Art Center Theater.

Guests can bring their own beverages and snacks. The first seating begins at 7 p.m. and the second at 8:15 p.m. The cost is $12 for Marion Art Center members and $15 for nonmembers. With 24 guests per seating, advanced reservations are recommended.

Three more “Unplugged” dates have been scheduled this year on April 12, Sept. 13, and Nov. 15.
