ROCHESTER — Lace your running shoes and put on a winter hat, the annual Frosty Runner Road Race is returning to Old Colony Regional Technical High School on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.

The race consists of a 10.3 mile run or a 3.1 mile walk/run. Number pick up and registration runs from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on the day of the race. 

The race will start and finish at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, 476 North Avenue, Rochester. 

There is a $30 non-refundable registration fee.

Participants can register online at runsignup.com until Jan. 26. Runners can register on-site at the race for $35. Anyone who registers by Jan. 2 will receive a Frosty Runner T-shirt. 

All proceeds go toward supporting the school’s Cross Country Team. 

Last year’s race raised approximately $8,000 that was put toward scholarships for graduating cross-country seniors and to purchase needed equipment throughout the season.

The event will have live results, finish line photos and post-race food and drink for all participants. 

Awards will be given out for the top runners in both races. In the case of inclement weather, the race will be postponed to Saturday, Feb. 3.
